In 2022, I took a Polaroid One 600 camera with me to the Black Rock Desert for the Burning Man Arts and Fire Festival.
Above is a selection of images made with that film demonstrating the range of its capability. I quickly learned that this duochrome film loves contrast and performed best during early morning light and the hour or so before the sun sets, when shadows get long.
It needs to develop in a dark box by it self, and bring an alcohol wipe to collect the extra chemistry that leaks out of the top of each exposure. It's messy and unpredictable, but some results felt like magic - overall, I loved working with this Instant film, the hits were worth the misses.
I wrote a larger blog post with tips about selecting a Poloroid 600 or iType film camera here for Echo Echo Studio
