Project Brief
This project requires you to create a campaign to create awareness around online scamming. Using photography as a primary image-making medium, design a poster, a WeTransfer background, and a choose-your-own-adventure deliverable! Your task is to create a campaign that will make people sit up, take notice, think twice and hopefully, just maybe, be more aware and awake to potential cyber scamming. Your deliverables include a poster, an animated We-Transfer background, and a third deliverable that Is completely up to you.
Technical Specifications
- Process work
- 1x digital poster, 144dpi, 2121x3000px, sRGB (also to be printed)
- 1x animated WeTransfer background
- 1x chosen deliverable
- 1x vertical narrative
NB. Main photographs must be self-generated, one black and white, one in colour.

Design Strategy
The scam chosen is the "long lost dead relative leaves you a fortune in inheritance" scam. Instead of believing everything one sees in our inboxes or streams, one should critically engage and if in doubt, consult the masters - the grandkids. Gen Z and Gen Alpha have grown up with technology and where the elderly lack, the young flourish. Younger generations know how to spot the scams, so they should be involved when there is hesitation or that "too good to be true" moment. A Facebook campaign has been formulated as the third deliverable, which links to a website built for fact-checking and asking questions, as most elderly people use Facebook as their main social media platform.
