C40 is a global network of mayors of the world’s leading cities that are united in action to confront the climate crisis.
BRIEF
The Water Safe Cities Accelerator has been launched at COP 28, showcasing the leadership of mayors who are taking action to transform cities and safeguard their communities against too much and too little water.
This short video introduces the concepts of flooding and drought and showcases how mayors can help at a high level.
CREATIVE CHALLENGES
Represent water as both a danger (flooding and pollution) and as a valuable resource (drought)
Represent cities, smaller neighborhoods but also much more macro actions.
Represent the thinking, planning and collaboration that this C40 program offers
ARTISTIC DIRECTION
The artistic direction was decided based on the creative challenges and production deadlines. The choice of textured flat design allowed us to meet deadlines while having an organic and warm appearance in our illustrations
MUSIC
We chose organic sounds which, depending on the scene, can be distressing or reassuring.
CONCLUSION
Having the opportunity to work on complex topic and having to put into images and movement actions that are under development is what stimulates us the most.
Our team is particularly competent and efficient for this type of challenge because it perfectly matches its vision of what motion design is used for.
