James Giacin's profile

The St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame

An experienced financial professional, James Giacin of St. Louis, MO, serves as a managing director of a financial services firm. A former hockey player, he was a student-athlete from his junior school to collegiate years and played in the National Hockey League for the LA Kings. In 2019, James Giacin was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame.

The St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame was established to honor and celebrate the people who have supported and helped promote and expand amateur hockey in St. Louis through the years. They are the ones who taught young boys to ice skate and use hockey sticks at the same time, who dreamed of creating a local youth hockey league, and who devoted their time and effort to transfer their love of the game to young boys and girls.

Every year since 2008, deserving individuals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Any member of the St. Louis community can submit their nominations through the Hall of Fame's website. An individual or group may be nominated for up to three consecutive years. However, a nominee not voted into the Hall of Fame after three consecutive nominations becomes disqualified from being nominated.

To be inducted into the Hall of Fame, a nominee must get at least three-fourths votes of the board's voting members. All the votes cast by the members of the Board are final and are not subject to appeal.
