Victoria Junior College (VJC) is a premier institution in Singapore whch was started in 1984. It is known for its student academic excellence in the region,having received awards and recognitions for producing outstanding citizens who are leaders in their chosen fields.
In the design proposal for VJC 30th Anniversary Publication, we decided to create a series of newspaper designed for 3 different decades to commemorate the occassion. Each piece of publication will represent and tell a story of its era. This publication will be presented in form of a collective item that captures the VJC stories.
Each publication has its own customised design and layout. This is to indicate its decade as distinctive as possible. Out of over 340 paper choices available from our select paper merchant, we have carefully selected 3 paper types that are most appropriate in this design application.
It is easy to mimick an aged newspaper but we thought it is more important for a newspaper to tell a story not only through what is presented, but how is it presented to people of our future generation.
