Buddy Bear Helpline
Promotional Materials

Brief
The aim of the project was to create promotional materials for any organisation and issue/product of our own choosing.

Target Audience
Parents with young children who are facing mental health issues or feeling unhappy and stressed. A potential secondary audience could be children and teenagers from the ages of 7 to 18 years old.

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator
Poster
Done on Adobe Illustrator, the poster's primary objective is to appear family and child friendly. Text is kept at a minimum to be clear, concise, and easily understandable. For the graphics, an imprecise, childlike art style was chosen. Besides reinforcing that the advertisement is meant for families, it also directly conveys the message of Buddy Bear as a comforting safe space for children to share whatever is weighing on their minds.
Flyer
A simple flyer (front and back) that sports the same art style, colour palette and fonts as the poster to maintain consistency while effectively and efficiently transmitting the intended message. The flyer offers more information about Buddy Bear's services, including its advantages and contact information. Text is yet again kept to a minimum to avoid overwhelming parents or any younger audiences. Organic shapes support the main designs, providing the sense of comfort through their rounded edges and soft colours.

Process
Research was done about the helpline, its existing slogans, and details such as their offered benefits and contact information. A SWOT Analysis was also conducted to examine which areas the promotional materials can be focused in. After a specific "problem" was chosen (the fact that the helpline was still not well known at the time), the concept behind the promotional materials was drafted, and key elements that should be included were listed.
