There are few documents and photos left from the heyday of the famous "Amfiteatralna Restaurant" in Chodzież, sometimes also called "Zacisze" by local residents.
In its heyday, various special events, dances and discos were held here, where the inhabitants of Chodzież and its surroundings had fun.
This two-story restaurant was a place where many walkers ate Sunday lunches.
Around 2000, the premises were closed due to their poor technical condition, and 14 years later they were demolished.
In the meantime, there were acts of vandalism on the premises.
At the very end of its existence, the place was in a deplorable condition, and illegal trysts often took place there, which could result in disability or even death.
Although not a single trace remains of the premises, the image of those good times remains in the memory of many Chodzież residents.
In June 2014, the Municipality developed a document entitled "DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF THE CITY OF CHODZIEŻ 2014-2024", which stated that a "Music and Art Center" would be built on the current area.
Nothing remains of the plans and ambitions, as the square itself is still undeveloped.
