Museums windows views art project. Part 1

There is the first piece in a series art works dedicated to museums windows views.

This is my personal passoion project. This topic has interested me for a long time. Whenever I visit a museum, I always seize the opportunity to look out of the windows. Visitor interest usually remains aside from it. In my opinion, this is completely unjustified, as museum window views are often absolutely delightful and unique. Through museum windows, we can often observe the city from an unusual angle, not accessible to ordinary tourists and residents. Therefore, I am extremely interested in exploring how the urban environment appears from within the museums.

I present to your attention a view from the Matisse Hall in the Hermitage Museum to a typical St. Petersburg street. Anyone who gazes out of the window will be captivated by the contrast between Henri Matisse's vibrant and luminous paintings and the calm, muted hues of St. Petersburg.

I believe that this project will offer a fresh perspective on museums and enrich the cultural experience of visiting them.

Before creating this illustration I draw the sketch in my art journal and use it as a base.
