Placemaking an Urban Jungle

This residential masterplan, based in Binsey Walk, Thamesmead, aims to rejuvenate the “stereotypical” area into an “attraction” for Thamesmead and give it an ever-changing narrative.

The proposed idea is to utilise the space more efficiently, resulting in little hierarchy spaces, whilst adding more greenery to create a healthy environment for more social interaction. Therefore, residents would begin to see Binsey Walk as an outlet to express their individuality and talents.

Overall, this proposal strives to include more “adventure” and “productivity” in the daily lives of the residents and showing the world the hidden value and potential of Thamesmead.
