Sicilian Fish on the Road included a tour of various Italian and international cities.
An "itinerant village" was set up for three days in the most important city centres, which were chosen for the tour, with areas reserved for tasting fish dishes, hosting multimedia exhibitions, meetings and specialised talks, making this a rich programme to provide visitors with a wide range of information on Sicily and its beautiful sea.
Above all, the aim of the initiative was to promote under-exploited species, which are found in abundance in Sicilian waters and whose consumption would help to relieve pressure on the more heavily fished species.
