Virgin Plus was sponsoring the CCYAA Celebrity Classic 2022, an annual charity basketball game. Marvel's Canadian superstar #SimuLiu and former Toronto Raptor and NBA champion #JeremyLin were coming together to host this much hyped event at the University of Toronto's Goldring Centre.
Raising money for the Jeremy Lin foundation and the CCYAA's new community centre, the event brought together 20 eminent personalities including Comedian Hasan Minhaj, Riverdale's Charles Melton, The Daily Show's Ronnie Chieng, Tesher and others.
The task was to create excitement via brand activation at the venue - inviting visitors to take a shot at the hoop and at winning a Liu & Lin autographed basketball. Besides coming up with the poster and placard featured below, was also tasked with suggesting an MC script for an in-game activation during the break and Virgin's live post covering the event on social media.
