FOI, AMOUR, ET ESPERANCE
Scenography and costume design for ‘Foi, amour et Esperance’ by Odon von Horvath directed by Olivier Chapelet and played at the T.A.P.S Laiterie – Strasbourg. The set was viewed as crossing space where the characters are just passing through, trying to choose a path to take, but when the roads intertwine, they end up leading nowhere. Therefore, the actors are as mobile as the set, they come and go and get haunted by the costume that reflects their social class. Elisabeth (the main character) spends her time going door to door as if to find the way to her future: whether it is to try to sell her remains, underwear or to find assistance, the door is an opening to everything possible, and yet the hand knocking on it sounds like the end of all hope.
