ULTRAMAN USA - Miniatures

ULTRAMAN USA
I was contacted by production after the original contractor spent most of the miniatures budget on only one episode, and there were about 13 episodes, yet to be done.

My solution was to break down each of the scripts and to identify which of the sets could be used in more than one episode and shoot everything out of sequence (where multiple episodes would have to be shot using the same set, before the set was cleared and another one built in its place).

i assembled several small teams of model builders and assigned each team a list of assets they would need to build.  We met and discussed our timeframe, as well as what approach we would need to take, with each asset,

Because of the unique budgetary constraints, we were under, we really had to use every trick in the book when it came to building everything.  For example:  Wherever possible, buildings might be made of foam core, matte board, or rigid foam, and everything would have to be "saved in paint."
