Neue Haas Grotesk Font Poster

Neue Haas Grotesk Poster
In Art230, we were assigned to create a poster that promotes a specific typeface as our third project. I designed an original poster to showcase Neue Haas Grotesk, its history, and pricing information for purchasing the font from myfonts.com. Our intended audience for the poster is graphic designers, and our objective is to captivate their interest with a powerful glyph or focal point.

To keep the focus on the typeface, I opted for a vibrant color palette that is both dark and bright. This color scheme better relates to the style and personality of the typeface than a somber approach. The poster features four different weights of the typeface: 55 Romans, 56 Medium, 66 Medium Italic, 75 Bold, and 96 Black, each one displayed in use.

The use of asymmetrical balance, color contrast, and visual hierarchy directs the viewer's attention to the font name, which is positioned in front of a large 'n' and 'h' that overlap the year 1957, as well as to the font weights and historical information. The "Did you know" section also attracts the viewer's attention before leading their gaze towards the price and flags symbols. Additionally, white background provides a visually appealing contrast to the typography, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the final font poster.
