For the Rochester Jazz Festival brochure, I undertook the task of designing a versatile and visually appealing schedule using a letter-sized sheet, strategically folded twice. My objective was to create a piece that seamlessly transitioned from a poster when unfolded to a brochure when folded. The primary focus of this project revolved around typography and effective organization of the timetable. To achieve a unique structure, I employed a creative typographic approach, positioning words slightly above others to guide the user on the sequential unfolding of the brochure.

In order to capture the essence of jazz and evoke a vintage vibe, I carefully selected colors that complemented the musical style. For optimum readability and clean layout, I opted for the timeless Helvetica font. The organization of the brochure was a crucial aspect, and I ensured a well-thought-out flow by starting with the prominent primary title, followed by the captivating phrase "22nd Spectacular Edition," and finally unveiling the comprehensive information as the brochure unfolded. This innovative approach resulted in a complete brochure poster that deviated from traditional methods, providing a distinctive and engaging user experience.
