Project Description / Thesis :
Starting from Aswan Train Station to the north and ending at Abbas Farid St. to the south. Aswan Old Market is a central and integral component to the economic and social prosperity of Aswan City. Across its 1.5 km length, a diverse mix of traditional products are marketed to a wide spectrum of national and foreign visitors. However, as Aswan Old Market comes to an end at Abbas Farid Street to the south, the intensity of the pedestrian and commercial activities tends to diminish and stagnate.
Concept :
An Iconic Art and Cultural Center that promotes sustainability and reinforces the cultural and commercial spine of Aswan old market and the city at large.
