Cartography

Lakes of all shapes are illustrated in this new series of maps. To design them, I extracted and cleaned up geographic data using QGIS and Illustrator, brought topographic features to life in Blender through displacement mapping, and composited in Photoshop so as to accentuate the focus on lakes using contrast adjustments and gradual masking of surrounding elements.
