The Timbre Pavilion
Duration: 5 days
Academic Project
A music pavilion in Bangalore
Timbre is known as the color or sound of music. Music is a very subjective term. Maria Von Trapp once said that Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed hearts open. I believe that music has the ability to understand, open and spread a person's emotions and feelings. Therefore, I decided to use chromesthesia in my plan. Chromesthesia is sound to color synesthesia. To know that something as simple as a color could advance the feeling or emotion behind music is very fascinating.
I have added many elements like the elevated stage, moving up and down seating, etc. inspired by one of the most happy places- amusement parks. As the space is near a lake, I created the space in a way that would remind the people of an amusement park. Happy or emotion-filled spaces always tend to have a deep connection and I hope that the audience leaves with unforgettable experiences.
