One day after seeing Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining", I decided to create a poster to promote the film. I was so fascinated by the story that I wanted to share it with others.
I started by gathering inspiration. I looked at various movie posters and searched for ideas on what my version could look like. Finally, I decided that I wanted to create a poster that referenced the iconic axe scene.
The emotion on Wendy Torrance's face reflected in the blade of an axe shattering a door by a crazed Jack Torrance shows the madness of this film.
This scene has gone down in cinema history so much that even people who haven't seen the movie know where the scene came from. Maybe after seeing this poster they will decide to watch it? I hope so.
