Concept Design Sensory Garden.

The main objective of this design was to adapt and existing mental health clinic inside a limited resource academic institution to employ new eco therapy techniques like sensory gardens, interactive therapy, and nature assisted meditation.
Since we were looking to create a sensory garden, the texture played a huge importance in every garden slope.  Helping to create different sensations for the patients.
Two different color palettes were made for the garden.
One for the vegetable palette and the other one for the murals and cabins.
Part of the landscaping process was to choose plants that stimulate all of the senses . Also bring back the nutrients of the soil and attract native pollinators as bees, bumble bees and butterflies.
We designed rhythms with hierarchies with an extended vegetable pallet to achieve different perspectives of the design like: varied focal points, hide/ create a barrier or fill spaces.
To guarantee privacy of the cabins we used a plant barrier with different sizes, shapes and textures.
