The scene is a simple shot of a Barefoot wine bottle and a full wine glass with strawberries around the glasses. But I captured the action of something splashing into the cup. To light the scene, I used a circular softbox to light the frame from behind. This created a really nice white background for the photo. Plus, an appealing shadow on the edges of the glasses. Two strip lights were added on either side of the glasses with scrims covering each. These lights add a strip of light going down the wine bottle and wine glass. The scrim changed the defined light strip into a nice gradient across the bottle. The biggest challenge for this shoot was the lighting. The glasses are reflective so anything surrounding the photo will be seen in the glass. So, I had to deeply consider the angles I had in the studio to not be distracting.
