Jasmine Harvest 
Shubra Beloula El-Sakhaweya is one of the villages of Qator Center of  Gharbia Governorate .  The village of Shubra Beloula occupies the world's top positions in jasmine cultivation. Jasmine is a lifelong tree that offers renewable flowers every day, 
Jasmine tree lives in the ground for up to thirty years, flowering for six months a year. Once the night breaks, peasants place the lamps over their heads, and the collection of jasmine flowers begins, the collection process lasts from midnight until 8 a.m. the next day. Once the sun shines, the lamps are replaced with cloth hats to protect peasants from sunlight.
According to IFEAT statistics for 2015, Egypt and India are the main producers of about 95% of the world's aromatic jasmine paste.
In Egypt, more than 90% of jasmine farms are located in Gharbia Governorate, in the towns of Qator and Basion and the village of Shubra Beloula, where most of them are concentrated.
Jasmine is a water-consuming plant where "acres are irrigated three times a month", and acres consume between 450 and 500 cubic metres of water at a time.
Jasmine is collected only manually, requiring a considerable effort of labour that does the picking, studies show that an individual's average production per day of combination is between 2 and 5 kilograms of jasmine flowers... Nearly 100 percent of Egypt's yasmine production is exported, but the spread of the coronavirus pandemic has significantly affected the export process and experienced a significant decline in 2020.
