 Afrofuturism evaluates the past and future to present better conditions for the current age of black people. This genre of art reimagines the future of art through black perspective. Afrofuturism has a consistent theme of reclamation and black liberation and greatness. Implementing the past within the art shows that culture will live on and flourish as time goes on and combining the past with science or futuristic themes shows growth and advancements in multiple ways whether it be cultural or technological.
