There are a few differences between Afrofuturism and Pop Art. Pop art was popularized in the late 1950s while Afrofuturism grew to popularity in more recent years. Afrofuturism depicts a lot of Science Fiction scenarios whereas Pop art usually has a 60s-70s aesthetic. A similarity between Pop art and Afrofuturism is that they are both very vibrantly colored.
