Background: This was an illustration done for an assignment in Arts 265 at the University of South Carolina. The assignment was to pick an artist that had recently released an album and create an illustration for the article. I chose Miley Cyrus and based my design off of her album 'Bangerz' and an interview she had recently done with The Rolling Stone.
I alluded to the Rolling Stone tongue in my design because in a recent interview, she talked about all of the crazy things she was getting publicity for doing. She said that she was just living life like rockstars used to, before anyone cared what they did. With my allusion to the iconic Rolling Stone tongue, I tied Miss Cyrus and her most recent album together with the rock legends of The Rolling Stones in an attempt to form the comparison she outlined in the interview.
