I've been wanting to explore Kent Island ever since we moved here in 2009. I've made several attempts and failed. I just never really got serious about it.
By starting this personal project I have defined a specific goal. 18 images of places on Kent Island captured through an 18mm lens.
Here we go...
3/1/14 Met with a Meetup group to capture the sunset at Terrapin Beach Park in Maryland.
Canditate #1: 7-image panorama of Terrapin Beach with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in the distant horizon.
On the way into the beach area I found this old carriage being used for beach clean up. I don't think this will make it into my KI18 list but it's a good outtake shot.

Possibly the last snow storm of the season (knock on wood). I got out of the car when I passed this scene on my way to work.
Candidate #2: House On The Field. Processed entirely in Lightroom. Can't decide which is better, the crunchy version or the dreamy one?

I'm always greeted by the big red signage atop Hemingway's Restaurant everyday coming home from work. I consider this a landmark for motorists as they enter the Eastern Shore of Maryland, coming off the eastbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
I took this image several weeks ago on my way to the grocery store. I remember seeing the makings of an awesome sunset so I made a detour to get a prime spot on Hemingway's pier. I got my sunset shot but when I turned around, I found my second hero shot!
