The Lowell Project or “Life of a Meteor” was a collaboration with the Advanced Media Lab (AML) at Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Lowell Observatory. The start of the project was around Summer 2020 and is in its final stages of development. The product is an Interactive multi-touch screen interface displaying meteor science from Lowell scientists. It is currently being displayed at Meteor Crater and will be displayed at Lowell Observatory in the future. Viewers can learn about meteor science and how astronomers track these objects with the technology of today and the help of Lowell experts. The lab partnered with Ideum Touch Screens to create an interactive and functioning wall so that visitors of all ages could interact and learn from the scientists's research.
