SoCal Roadtrip 2022

First things first: kudos to Jamie Rutt for providing some unique local advise about
the L.A. area, which made this trip even more enjoyable and fun! Thank you!
The famous Joshua Trees in the middle of Mojave Desert.
Panoramic view of High Desert heading towards L. A.
(Sheephole Valley Wilderness to the left and Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness to the right)
The sign says it all: Welcome to Malibu where breakfast is served right on the beach!
The seagulls visibly enjoyed their stay on the pier as well.
Some Yoga exercises included: one-legged swan pose.
A view miles further up north the beautiful coastline of El Matador Beach pops up.
Big rocks, powerful waves and a ton of birds!
Human flamingo bird trying to stay dry.
The various colors of the cliffs and rocks is hard to capture on a single photo, but it is a magical mix together with the blue ocean and green shrubs.
Santa Monica! I suggest our Cleveland officials spend a few days here to learn how a beachfront development SHOULD look like. An airport doesn't cut it.
Berlin Forest next to Griffith Observatory / Park is one of the many ways to climb Mount Hollywood.
No L.A. trip without stopping by at the HOLLYWOOD sign.
Climbing around in this area was fascinating. Breathtaking views from every angle.
In addition, the calming thought of P22, the mountain lion, possibly observing you :-)
Zooooom in - this panorama is a handheld shot out of 6 single images: to the left is L.A. Downtown, next to it in the front the Griffith Observatory and right of it Hollywood & Beverly Hills, the tiny blue strip in the very back is the ocean (I guess Santa Monica / Venice Beach area) and to the very right Mount Hollywood with its famous sign (Behance version is probably cropped too much to pan around in detail).
Dante's View on top of Mount Hollywood. It was early in the morning and already soooooo hot!
The t-shirt is a little pointer to our final stop on that day.
Sadly, oil spills keep happening everywhere around the world and Laguna Beach was locked down due to Amplify Energy's 2021 pipeline leak.
Alternative sources of energy will hopefully lead to a decrease of oil-related disasters.
Could have looked much nicer without an oil spill!
Hawaii? Not quite, but Laguna Beach could easily be sold as Hawaiian vacation resort.
These palm trees looked so perfect! :-)
Waves breaking. Could have watched that for hours!
A little closeup.
And one more because I could not make a decision!
P!NK girl enjoying the Californian sun.
Enjoy the view!
This grey stuff floating on the ocean is presented to you by Amplify Energy!
Laguna Beach was our final stop before we arrived in San Diego / La Jolla which will be a separate photo album.
