The scene I’m presenting here is when they have their second conversation and when, for the first time, Jane feels like she’s being addressed as an equal by Mr. Rochester. On the other hand, Mr. Rochester’s harsh temper is softened by Jane’s innocent and unprejudiced manner towards him.
