I started this next painting as an experiment to see if I could paint ink over charcoal without muddying the colors with the powder. Granted, I sprayed it a few times with workable spray fix, and I added extra black and white over the ink once I was done, but I was still amazed at how well the ink stuck, given the extra textures it had to overpower and cling to.
This was also my first time using such a nice piece of paper, it was amazing how different of a texture the charcoal left behind on it, just look at that texture!
I cannot believe I'm still continuing to draw Walker Theatre. On another note, on the bottom of this close up, you can see my ode to my stolen bicycle.
