This is an old project from when I was in school, I interviewed my roommate about her involvement in the Lolita Fashion Community. I wanted to use this as a discussion about what my inspiration was, and my process.

Here is the lookbook that I made:

I wanted to make this short doc in the vein of other online short documentaries like "1 minute docs" or other fashion-centric interviews done by Vice or I-D. I personally am a fan of their style, and wanted to showcase my subject's personality and the community she is apart of.

-My treatment could use some tweaking, as my skills have improved since then. 

We filmed in our apartment over a few weeks, and we wanted to add in a storyline about how she wants to create a Hannukah themed outfit, but she was unable to get the items in time, and there aren't a lot of items that would fit that theme. I also feel that I should have set up a stronger backlight to kill the shadow that was created in her interview. 

Overall I'm happy with the storyline we created, and we both had a great time going out to Little Tokyo to grab some city shots.
