Pit Bull Activism Infographic
The goal of this project was to create an effective infographic informing the viewer about the chosen social issue. This infographic was created to educate the viewer about the history of Pit Bulls and how they continue to face stigma, misinformation, and legislation that makes adoption more difficult and leads to frequent euthanization. Commonly believed myths are also debunked with statistics sourced from resources included at the end of the infographic that redirect the viewer’s attention and desire for action. Statistics and information are visualized using graphs. The formatting of the infographic is long and skinny, making it easy for the viewer to scroll through on a mobile device. The infographic’s content is sorted into sections with imagery to make it easy for the viewer to digest it into chunks and prevent information overload. Black and white imagery is used to allow text to be emphasized using the color red, to balance the focus of the imagery and content, and to create a cohesive design.
