Neue Haas Grotesk Font

Neue haas grotesk font
This project consisted of creating a poster to sell the font the client had chosen. I had to use my imagination to create something interesting, and attractive while following design principles. I decided to work with the Neue Haas Grotesk font. The poster had to contain the name, information about the history of the font, the name of the designer(s), the price, and the contact where to get it, and show all the different weights the font has.

The Neue Haas Grotesk font has eight display weights, from Thin to Black. I worked with only six of them which are 55 Roman, 56 Italic, 65 Medium, 66 Medium Italic, 75 Bold, and 95 Black. Neue Haas Grotesk was designed in 1957-1958 by Max Miedinger for the Haas’sche Schriftgiesserei in Switzerland. In 2010 Christian Schwartz, who designed the digital revival of Neue Haas Grotesk, points out that it “was originally produced for typesetting by hand in a range of sizes from 5 to 72 points, but digital Helvetica has always been one-size-fits-all, which leads to unfortunate compromises.”

I have worked hard to come up with the final design. I hope you like it and enjoy it!
Poster
I just wanted to create something unique and finish a work that my client and I could be proud of. Some of the comments I received said that my poster is fun, colorful, and can be found in a school! I liked that comment because that is what my client wanted to show and convey. A poster that can make an impact, be different, attractive because of the colors it contains, and most importantly, that can be sold no matter where it is.

I hope you enjoyed it!
