Abstract Typography Posters
Two typographic posters using Neue Haas Grotesk Bold and Stempel Garamond Roman
One sans serif poster and one serif poster - this is the first project I created for Art 230 - Typography. Here is my presentation of my creative process.
The Project
Neue Haas Grotesk Bold and Stempel Garamond Roman are extremely different fonts in every sense - in their weight, their contrast, and their serifs, or lack thereof. I created two posters using only glyphs in black and white to showcase the personality of each of these fonts.
Sketches
After a brief round of physical sketching, I took my designs to the digital phase. Below are six digital recreations of my best drawn sketches.
Refinements
Taking two designs of each poster type, I played with variations of each concept.
Final Compositions
After receiving feedback from my instructor, I finished up two designs, and here are the final results:
