The Central Seaport of Bohol

The Philippines is an archipelagic nation made up of over 7,000 islands separated by large bodies of water making sea travel and its corresponding infrastructure essential to the country. Bohol island is considered to be a vital link and jump off point between the two majors regions of the country, Visayas and Mindanao. It is also seen as a popular tourist destination being home to many natural and historical attractions. Because of its location, the construction and improvement of seaports on the island has been a crucial concern to ease travel between islands in order to attract tourists, foreign and local alike.

The Central Port of Bohol is located in the capital city of the island and is considered a major port of entry to the region serving about 5,000 passengers and cargo ships daily.
