Stempel Garamond vs Neue Haas Grotesk

Design experimentation with two very different fonts.
Hello! I am a student at BYU-Idaho enrolled in a Typography class, ART 230. For the first project of the course students were given an assignment with the following instructions. Create two abstract compositions, each one showcasing the personality of different fonts. One is to be composed in Neue Haas Grotesque Bold and one in Stempel Garamond Roman. Each composition should contain 5-8 glyphs with no duplications (upper and lower case glyphs of the same letter are not considered duplicates). Each must show at least 5 different elements of typographic anatomy such as a stem, counter space, spine, bowl, ascender, descender, loop, arm, crossbar, etc. Black and white were the only colors that should be used. At least 2 of the glyphs should be colored white and 2 colored black. No outlines or punctuation permitted. These were the designs I created.
