This is my vision of Venice in the night.

While all the turists were sleeping in their hotel rooms I decided to take the occasion to go out and walk around and through the "calli" "campi" and "campielli" to explore and to take some photos. The silence reigned supreme, no load voices, no noises of the boat trafic but only the voices of the seagulls in the air and the gently wather lapping of the laguna againts the banks

I could so see the dark side of Venice with its darkness, along the narrow calli, the mistery of the shadows and the dim light of the public lamps,only interrupted by the strong leds of the luxury shops.

I also understand that Venice is one of those city that has to be visited in the night to taste the real indentity and the character of it.
