When I had a Choice Painting in my class, I knew I wanted to incorporate my love for Christmas, so I decided to paint a reindeer. I planned to bring the reindeer to life through color and texture. Using a stock image online, I applied contrasting colors and worked on a technique to create the soft fur texture by simplifying it to loose masses. This project furthered my understanding of creating texture with oil paint.
