The main challenge in designing these posters is the client (my professor) wants the these promotional materials to be made like posters even though they were only gonna get published online.

Several rules are made in designing these posters: (1) must include the university, college, and department name and logo, (2) must include all the title and dates, and (3) must include the speaker and host's name. Designing with rules like these are both a help and challenge to me. A help, because rules like this helps me know exactly what I'm designing, a challenge because it can sometimes be constraining. But that's a designer's job isn't it?

For the elements on these 3 posters be easily picked up by the eye on a small screen, I made the contrast between colors high and all the important texts' weight heavy.

The TikTok Elections one was most especially difficult because I have to incorporate the visual identity of TikTok into the design. The result was using white as base color and black, red, and blue (the colors on TikTok's app logo and UI) simultaneously be the supplementing colors.
