Indiana State Museum - Case Study 2

Indiana State Museum
The purpose of the Indiana State Museum is to educate the guests on various parts of general history as well as Indiana's history.
The experience started with a large entry in the main part of the building with the front kiosk.

After that you could choose to go to the Imax theater or the fossils animal history section

From which you could go upstairs to see the Indiana history as well as presidents and popular figures from Indiana.

The top section also included many inventions and informational boards to learn from.

The audience for this exhibit is for all ages. I myself found a lot of the information in the museum to be very interesting. While visiting the museum there were many younger kids on a field trip. So the museum can definitely appeal to all ages.

The story being told was the history of the world through fossils and animals as well as Indiana's history with inventions and popular figures.

There were several themes within broad themes here. History with animals and fossils as well as art amongst many of these different sections. Same goes for the Indiana section. Innovation and timelines were heavy hitters in this section as well.

This experience makes money by people buying tickets at the front kiosk or online. My tickets were $16 each.

There's not much I would change with this experience due to how much information was in each section. In hindsight there weren't too many sections but it still took an hour and a half to get through it all. The only thing I would change is to add new sections but as of my last visit they were adding another section to the first exhibit.
This museum is definitely meant to be educational and entertaining. The various interactive pieces and informational boards gave the guests as well as myself a cool and memorable experience.
