"A e binèri" is an exhibit and interaction design project that want to give value to abandoned places. From 1932 to 1946, an old railway connected two countries: Italy and the little Republic of San Marino. This railway was characterized by little coaches, half white half light blue (like the San Marino National flag) and was very useful in order to carry people from mountain to the sea and the other way round, but also provisions and food.
The railway was destoryed by bombardment of the World War 2, and after that all the places related were abandoned causing their deterioration.
Our project want to revalue those places, designing an interaction between visitors and all people that lived those places.
The exhibition has three main places: first, a tunnel where you can hear stories from people, second, a bridge with a coach on it and third, an abandoned coaches cemetery.
