Order Eats is a unified Restaurant menu application, designed in two sprints (two weeks). It’s an application that helps restaurants make the process of taking orders easier by eliminating the need for printed out menus. It can be fitted for each particular restaurant making it a great solution for those who do not want to invest in a personalized menu  development.
I was excited about the project because it makes the process of ordering food easy and fast and limits the human interaction to the minimum which is extremely important now because of COVID2019.
Target and challenge
The user base for this project consists of restaurant owners of different age. The main focus was on foreigners in Japan, but there was a possibility of extending the project to the Japanese owners as well. Order eats needed to be easily understandable by people without any specific knowledge and easy to use.
One of the biggest challenges was actually making Order Eats stand out - it had to be a better alternative than making a menu app from scratch like many Japanese restaurants do. We focused on two things: money (Order Eats would be way cheaper than ordering a new app development from scratch) and multilingual support (having automatic translation  between English and Japanese).
Logo design and color choice
App Interface
I was responsible for the order screen menu, since we had other stuff working on the app as well. My goal was to incorporate the chosen colors and make sure the app looks simple and stylish yet easy to navigate.
Responsibilities
I worked on this project as a lead designer and project manager.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Management (project planning and weekly reviews)
- UX research (flows and persona)
- Design (UI and branding)
- Testing
