Identity for a small seaside town of Saltcoats is based on the idea of how a specific place can be very sentimental and personally important. Inspired by the 'Talking Wall' - a local monument for people's recollections of their time spent in Saltcoats - I aimed to develop a system which would communicate that personalisation and intimacy. Therefore the identity is modular and varying throughout the objects it is applied to.
