Quarterpipe ramp

Some of the rooms in my house were being refurbished and alot of plywood and timber was going to be thrown in the skip. I have always had an idea in the back of my head for making my own little ramp. I love riding bmx but do not have alot of spare time, by making my own ramp I could ride at my own convenience without having to travel anywhere.

The ramp is a combination of an old desk, wardrobe doors and timbers that were laying around the garden. After looking at all my available material and watching some youtube tutorial videos I set to work.

The hardest part was getting 1/2 inch ply to bend to the curve i created. I did this by slowly pushing it more and more with screws and soaking it with the hose pipe. If i had not done so the ply would have simply cracked under the stress.

The ramp has not cost me anything to make apart from time and electricity. Tools used include a jigsaw, handsaw and cordless drill.
