Device for hearing aid dome handling

This project was part of a 3-week "41743 Micro product design, development and production" course at DTU in collaboration with a leading Danish hearing aid company, WSA Audiology. The goal was to find and prototype a solution to the problem of removing and inserting hearing aid domes. Additionally, the domes need to be washed quite often, which can also be an issue, especially to people with limited manual ability. Those rubbery elements are often very small and fiddly to operate, and our group designed a device which would be easy to operate and cheap to manufacture. The device was also fitted with a feedback mechanism (a click), which signals the correct insertion of the hearing aid dome. The group earned the top grade and a prize for the solution.
