Pictionary is a charades-inspired word-guessing game invented by Robert Angel with graphic design by Gary Everson and first published in 1985 by Angel Games Inc. Mattel acquired ownership of Pictionary in 2001. The game is played in teams with players trying to identify specific words from their teammates. Pictionary is as its tagline suggests, ‘the game of quick draw’. It relies on creative thinking and quick drawing and guessing. It is a fun team game.
One does not need to have great artistic skill to enjoy playing the game. This is the central idea.
I have compared the sketches to classic artworks in a fun yet respectful way. The quickly drawn sketches are not ideal, but they get the job done just as well as a work of art!
