About the Project

Aim: "To create a place where luxury meets wild, the basic philosophy was to create elegant, boutique accommodation with a minimalist and environmentally sensitive approach, combining intimacy and style with unparalleled service."

The brief was to develop an upscale boutique property, which interweaves the historical significance of the region,  and the biodiversity of its setting, Ananterai seeks to stand out from the crowd by blending in with its environment, providing guests with a year-round opportunity to observe the region's abundant biodiversity amidst acres of pristine forest.
The material palette essays the idea of ‘Wabi-Sabi’ through the timeless mediums of concrete, plaster, stones that will age gracefully and add their evolving imagery to the narrative. Existing and proposed vegetation have been layered in as connecting elements.
The idea was to design a place that bridges the gap between the modern and the historic, the built and the natural, and the private and the public to help catalyse needs of a vibrant community.
The clients wanted the designs to be inspired by traditional architecture, of the region, achieved with a contemporary interpretation. Texturally enriched comfort within a laid-back luxury concept,
It embraces the use of local materials for today’s modern comforts an aesthetics.
Each villa has its own oasis with a private 30ft pool, roof terrace, and ofcourse an outdoor bathtub in a private garden, this exceptional villa enjoys a tranquil and leafy setting. The panoramic view of the forest belt , enveloping the villas, becomes an integral part of the guest experience.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed it! I really appreciate your likes.
