In partnership with the international firm Populous, the project explores ways in which sporting stadiums can regenerate the social, environmental, cultural, and economic situations within an urban area. Currently, these event spaces are unused most of the time, which are separated from their surrounding community when sporting events are not running. Within this project, these issues are responded through sustainable and positive long-term effects within an urban context for the Mayne Railyard, which is considered to be an area that is highly contaminated.
