DayJob Zine. 2015 - 2016
I came up with the idea for DayJob ‘zine while working in the hospitality industry and having colleagues that were talented artists working pub jobs to get by. I wanted to make a platform for them to promote their work while still doing their day job so I asked them to write about themselves and their art form, took some polaroids and put together a 'zine. I was running a pub and live music venue in Soho during this time in my life and getting to grips with teaching myself how to use Photoshop and InDesign so it was an exciting challenge for me to put the project together in my spare time.
The ‘zines were hand distributed to pubs, coffee and art shops throughout London.
Key skills I used while making Day Job were,
• Collaborating with multiple artists
• Organising print runs
• Design and lay out made using Photoshop and InDesign
• Hand drawn illustration and mixed media collage
• Contacting potential stockists
• Working to a deadline
