In 1924 when Union Pacific purchased the property from the City of Alameda for price of $30,000 they signed an agreement that they would sell the land back to the city for the original purchase price plus any improvements. Today the city of Alameda owns the property and looking to restore it as a natural Open Space preserve, along with a two acre community garden, outdoor classroom and other amenities.
 
Kristoffer is the sole designer/planner for this project.
